Hinoki

Hinoki by KITOWA is a Woody Aromatic fragrance for women and men. Top notes are White Pepper, Cypress and Mint; middle notes are Japanese Cypress, Geranium, Hinoki and Iris; base notes are Frankincense, Sandalwood and Cedarwood. Eau Éclosion Hinoki by KITOWA is a water-based, alcohol-free fragrance created in Japan. Instead of the usual alcohol base, it uses a water formulation to carry a blend of Japanese wood oils and other natural aromatic materials, intended to sit gently on the skin and develop with a soft diffusion. The scent is built around hinoki (Japanese cypress) oil from Mie Prefecture, a wood that has long been associated in Japan with sanctuaries and traditional architecture. The composition opens with the cool, green facets of cypress, brightened by mint and nuanced with white pepper. At the heart, hinoki is joined by geranium and iris, suggesting pale, smooth wood and a restrained floral nuance. Cedarwood, frankincense and sandalwood form a dry, resinous woody base that reinforces the impression of calm forest woods and gives the fragrance its depth.
