Strange Magic by Anya's Garden is a Floral fragrance for women and men. Strange Magic was launched in 2017. The nose behind this fragrance is Anya McCoy. The fragrance features Champaca, Orris, Chamomile, Ambergris, Aglaia, Ylang-Ylang, Gardenia, Jasmine and White Flowers. Strange Magic from Anya's Garden is the first perfume to be composed of approximately 95% organic fragrant tinctures. Strange Magic is made with tinctures that revealed the hidden colors in the flowers, leaves, and roots when they were placed in the alcohol. Perfumer Anya McCoy has tinctured for herbal purposes for forty years, and for perfume purposes for twenty years. It wasn't until she dropped snow white Michelia alba flowers into the alcohol and saw the alcohol turn pink, then red, then dark red that she realize there was some hidden secrets in some flowers—Strange Magic. Honoring the Strange Magic of color change that happens during the tincturing process, Strange Magic features notes of aglaia, orris, chamomile, gardenia, jasmine, white champaca, ylang-ylang, Cashmere Bouquet clerodendrum (white flowers) and vintage white ambergris from Vanuatu, among other notes—after all, magic needs a bit of secrecy.
