Top notes are Musk, Clementine and Pink Grapefruit; middle notes are Cherry, Myrtle, Jasmine, Vanilla, Angelica, Geranium and Benzoin; base notes are Agarwood (Oud), Amber, Sandalwood, Cedar, Olibanum, Patchouli, Labdanum and Vetiver. In the Ottoman Era, fragrances had a strong place representing prestige and respectability where there existed a strong focus on beautiful scents and cleanliness. They wore, ate, and drank perfume.
