Black Walnut

Black Walnut by American Perfumer is a Woody Aromatic fragrance for women and men. Black Walnut was launched in 2022. The nose behind this fragrance is John Biebel. Top notes are Lime and Bergamot; middle notes are Black Walnut, Cashmeran, Syringa, Orange Blossom, Cypress, Cinnamon and Black Pepper; base notes are Sandalwood, Vanilla, Haitian Vetiver, Oakmoss and Agarwood (Oud). Black Walnut is a fragrance embodiment of Julans nigra, the North American tree that produces the fragrant black walnut fruit. These nuts grow inside a bright green capsule that contains a strong brown dye and a characteristic citrus smell. The nuts themselves are robustly fragrant; woody, fruited and mildly floral. Perfumer John Biebel worked with Creative Director Dave Kern to create a full fragrance that embodies a life cycle of black walnut from its gourmand touches, bright bergamot-lime opening to a grassy, wood-vetiver finish. The top notes are: Bergamot and Mexican Lime; middle notes are Black Walnut, Cypress, Syringa, Cinnamon, Black Pepper, Orange Blossom, Cashmeran; and base notes are Haitian vetiver, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Oakmoss and Oud.
